Former President Bill Clinton went to Pyng-Yang and secured the release of two American journalists Eurna Lee and Laura Ling. they were imprisoned.140 days,and had been sentenced to
twelve years of hard labor for entering north Korea illegally.
President Obama thank to Clinton for this private humanitarian service,but disassociated the mission fromany official U S diplomacy. The U S has no diplomatic relation with north Korea, and north Korea's nuclear program continues to be a matter of international concern.
